Tom Lawrence looks set to move on from Rangers this summer with replacements already being eyed up at Ibrox, sources have told Football Insider.

Rangers are preparing for a transformational summer transfer window on and off the pitch, as incoming owners 49ers Enterprises prepare to take the reins and make sweeping changes to the infrastructure.

Football Insider revealed that the 49ers plan on making six headline signings at Ibrox this summer, and in order to facilitate space in a new-look Rangers squad, departures aplenty are set to occur.

Lawrence is one of seven Gers players in line to leave at the end of the season – including fellow out-of-contract duo Ianis Hagi and Leon Balogun – and sources have told Football Insider that he's likely to move on.

Tom Lawrence exit decision clear for Rangers

Rangers have only made a clear transfer decision on one of their seven stars currently heading for the door at Ibrox, with sources telling Football Insider that the 49ers are determined to sign Vaclav Cerny permanently.

Lawrence won't be so lucky though, and after Rangers were open to selling the Welshman in January had a suitable offer come along, they'll allow him to leave for free in June.

Football Insider revealed last summer that Rangers had put a £5million price tag on Lawrence's head, and despite interest from Besiktas, he stayed put and now looks set to depart for nothing 12 months on.

Rangers ready to upgrade on Tom Lawrence in attack

Many Rangers fans have been happy to see the back of Lawrence for some time, and alongside Balogun, Hagi, loanees Neraysho Kasanwirjo, Oscar Cortes and Rafael Fernandes, they may be about to get their wish.

In February, Football Insider revealed Lawrence Shankland could still be sought by Rangers this summer, with the Scotland striker set to leave Hearts on a free transfer himself.

With Cerny already at the top of Rangers' transfer shortlist once the window opens, it's clear the 49ers will have an ambitious approach in the market, with targets many levels above Lawrence's calibre.
