Major development in PL club pursuit of free agent wanted by West Ham - report

Leicester are "unlikely" to make an out-of-window move for free agent Bacary Sagna, according to a report.
The Leicester Mercury claims that the the Foxes do have a space left in their Premier League squad but are not expected to move for the 34-year-old, who is also said to be wanted by West Ham.
Torino, Beskitas and Busaspor are also claimed to be monitoring Sagna with the view to snapping up him on a free transfer.
Sanga was understood to be earning £110,000 a week during his time at Manchester City, which came to an end at the climax of last season.
West Ham have already gone to City twice to strengthen their squad in the summer with Joe Hart arriving on loan and right-back Pablo Zabaleta signing for the Irons on a free transfer.
The Leicester Mercury's major development will no doubt be a big boost for the Hammers if they wished to pursue Sagna as the season progresses.
Football Insider Verdict
This is good news for the Hammers because Leicester are one of the teams that have the pull and resources to be able to beat them to signings. Sagna would be a good cover option in Slaven Bilic's underperforming defence, even though there are already a couple of options at right-back. Sagna has bags of experience and his presence in the Man City team must have helped Zabaleta perform better because of the extra competition. The duo probably have a good understanding of working alongside each other, as well as Hart. Bilic needs winners in his team and Sagna is exactly that.
In other West Ham news, the Hammers were keen on snapping up this regular La Liga player in the summer.
