Harry Kane could be tempted to stay at Tottenham if the club appoint Julian Nagelsmann as manager, sources have told Football Insider.

The 29-year-old England captain is entering the final year of his contract at Spurs, and has been linked with a move away from North London in the summer.

Tottenham are expected to sack current manager Antonio Conte after his press conference outburst following the club's 3-3 draw to Southampton.

It is understood that Kane could be tempted to stay with Spurs, but is demanding that a world-class manager is appointed in the summer.

The 35-year-old manager was sacked by Bayern Munich on Friday afternoon despite losing only three matches in all competitions this season.

The Spurs board and Kane are huge admirers of Nagelsmann, and it is believed that the German could tempt Kane to extend his stay in North London.

Football Insider sources revealed last month (25 February) that Tottenham have opened talks with Kane over a new deal.

Kane recently became the record scorer for England with 54 goals, scoring his latest in a 2-1 win over Italy to overtake Wayne Rooney's tally.

Kane graduated from the Tottenham academy and has stayed with the club throughout the entirety of his senior career, making 425 appearances and scoring 271 goals for the club.
