Celtic appear to be confident of fending off interest in Kristoffer Ajer this summer after a leaked image showed him parading one of their new kits.

The giant defender has been strongly linked with an exit in the next window and has publicly encouraged the speculation.

As revealed by Football Insider earlier this month, the Scottish champions are preparing to let Ajer go if their £20million asking price is met amid Leicester City and AC Milan interest.

But the Hoops have seemingly suggested there has been a breakthrough in talks to keep Ajer.

A leaked picture has surfaced online, which shows Ajer, Callum McGregor and James Forrest showing off the new Adidas kits.

Ajer is wearing the club's new home shirt, which sports the famous green and white hoops with Adidas' three stripes on the sleeves.

Forrest is kitted out in the club's away jersey, while McGregor is wearing what appears to be the new Adidas third kit.

Leading clubs are usually very strategic about the identity of players modelling new kits around the time of summer windows and usually avoid using those who could leave.

Academy products McGregor and Forrest have spent their entire careers at Celtic and also signed lucrative new deals last season.

Up to now, Celtic have made a number of attempts to tie Ajer to a new current to replace his current agreement, which expires in 2022, but he has rejected them.

The Norway international has made 129 appearances for Celtic, including 49 in the 2019-20 campaign as his side secured a ninth consecutive league title.
