Revealed: Levy pushing hard to sell Tottenham superstar amid behind-the-scenes conflict

Daniel Levy is pushing hard to sell Christian Eriksen before the end of the month even though the Tottenham superstar is happy to stay, Football Insider has learned.
The Denmark international has entered the final year of his Spurs contract and has snubbed offers from the club to extend it.
A source with knowledge of Tottenham's recruitment has told Football Insider that the club do not want to lose Eriksen on a free transfer next summer and want to offload him before the main European windows shut at the end of the month.
However, amid a growing conflict behind the scenes of the club, the 27-year-old is keen to sit out the final 11 months of his deal and have the pick of the world's clubs at the end of the season when he would be a highly sought-after free agent.
Manchester United were touted as keen on the attacking midfielder during the final days of the English window but Levy was adamant he would not be sold to a top-four rival.
The long-standing Tottenham chairman is far more keen to offload Eriksen to an overseas club and one with the financial power to match his asking price.
As revealed by Football Insider in April, Levy laced a £140million price tag on him at the start of the summer window, but that was an unrealistic sum that was never likely to be achieved.
With the end of the European windows approaching, Tottenham may be willing to offload one of their prize assets for a fee closer to £80million.
