Leeds United attacker Ian Poveda is in line for a late-window exit following his first-team demotion, Football Insider understands.

The 21-year-old was then left out of the Under-23s squad for their 3-1 win against Crystal Palace in Premier League 2 last night despite no suggestion from the club or manager that he is injured.

A Leeds source has told Football Insider that the club will listen to offers for Poveda in the final fortnight of the window.

A loan move, or even a permanent transfer, are on the cards for the January 2020 signing from Man City.

There is believed to have been a fall-out behind the scenes at Elland Road involving Poveda.

There were high hopes for the winger when he was lured from Etihad Stadium, where Pep Guardiola had spoken highly of his potential.

Following some early teething and fitness issues, Poveda appeared to make progress last season and was a key member of the first-team squad.

He would have expected to have made the matchday squad for the Old Trafford clash, which Leeds lost 5-1, after making 14 Premier League appearances last term.

Most of those were as a substitute but the super-quick winger was regularly brought on by Bielsa to turn a match in United's favour.

Leeds instead named teenagers Sam Greenwood and Crysencio Summerville, both 19, on the bench at Old Trafford last Saturday ahead of Poveda.
