Cardiff City striker Issak Davies is in talks to join Belgian side KV Kortrijk, sources have told Football Insider.

Davies, 21, is available on loan this summer so that he can go out and get a regular run of games.

The forward, who was a target for Burnley last summer, has a long-term contract at Cardiff.

Davies’ representatives are in talks with KV Kortrijk over a season-long loan deal.

Davies made 11 starts across the Championship and FA Cup as he racked up three goals and three assists in 30 total appearances during the 2021-22 season

He signed a new contract in March 2022, extending his Cardiff stay until the summer of 2025.

The forward struggled for game time last season as he played just 364 minutes in 12 appearances for the Bluebirds.

With Cardiff’s Championship opener fast approaching, the Welsh side are trying to complete the squad at the best chance of bettering the position last season.

Davies has been a prominent player for the Wales international youth teams, however, with the forward featuring five times for U21’s side.

He also played at international level for the U17’s, U19’s, and U20’s where he contributed with three goals across the three age groups.

With Davies leaving on loan, Cardiff had already been linked to attackers coming in.

However, they missed out on the forward, as he signed for Oxford United.
