Celtic loanee Jeremy Toljan is set to be the next senior player through the club's exit door, Football Insider understands.

More than 10 players from the Hoops' current first-team squad are set to leave this summer, after the mass exodus began with the weekend exit of Timothy Weah.

The Paris Saint-Germain striker's half-season loan was abruptly terminated last weekend after he opted to play for the USA at the Under-20 World Cup rather than in the remainder of Celtic's campaign culminating in the Scottish Cup final.

A Celtic source has told Football Insider that the club have no plans to try and sign Toljan permanently and he will return to Borussia Dortmund following the 25 May showdown v Hearts.

The right-back arrived with a big reputation in January after accumulating extensive Bundesliga experience at Dortmund and former club Hoffenheim as well as Germany Under-21 caps.

But Toljan has struggled to make a big impression in the Scottish Premiership and has not played since late March despite being available for selection.

The 24-year-old has not looked convincing defensively in his 13 Celtic appearances and is unlikely to feature in the final two matches of the treble chasers' campaign.

Celtic do not have a fixed option to buy in Toljan's loan deal.
