There will be no shortage of potential suitors for Aaron Ramsdale in the coming transfer windows if he loses his Arsenal place full-time, sources have told Football Insider.

Raya has played each of the last three games for Arsenal, including Sunday's (24 September) 2-2 derby draw with Tottenham.

It is believed Ramsdale is not even contemplating a move away from the Emirates Stadium at this time.

Instead, the 25-year-old is fully focused on regaining the number one role from on-loan Raya.

Ramsdale earned his fourth cap for England earlier this month as the Three Lions beat Scotland at Hampden Park.

The shot-stopper wants to play in goal for his country at next year's European Championships in Germany - but now faces the prospect of losing out on first-team football just months out from the tournament.

It is believed several clubs are queuing up to sign the ex-Bournemouth star if he chooses to leave Mikel Arteta's side in the near future.

Raya is also a full international for Spain and could go to the tournament as his nation’s first-choice shot-stopper.

Ramsdale - who only signed a new deal earlier this year - played the first four games of the 2023-24 campaign, keeping one clean sheet and conceding four goals.

Raya has since played three times for Arsenal - conceding twice and keeping two clean sheets.

Following the draw against Tottenham, Arteta's side now sit four points adrift of Man City - despite both sides being unbeaten in the 2023-24 campaign.

Ramsdale could return to the teamsheet when the Gunners face Brentford in League Cup action on Wednesday (27 September).
