Aston Villa rising star Jaden Philogene is wanted by the European elite for a potential summer move, sources have told Football Insider.

RC Lens, Anderlecht and Union Berlin are among the clubs keeping tabs on the 21-year-old winger, who is currently on loan at Cardiff City.

Philogene has been integral to Cardiff's survival hopes in the Championship, with the Bluebirds currently sitting 21st in the table.

Multiple club representatives have travelled to Wales and been in attendance to watch the young Aston Villa prospect during his breakthrough season in the Championship.

Philogene has made 31 appearances for Cardiff this season, scoring four times for the club, including three league goals.

He started the season as an impact substitute under Mark Hudson but has risen up the pecking order since the former manager was sacked in January.

Under Sabri Lamouchi, Philogene has developed into a crucial player for the Bluebirds, playing the full 90 minutes in five of the club's last six league fixtures.

Mostly deployed on the wings by Hudson, Philogene has developed his game under Lamouchi and has shown his versatility, playing on either flank as well as occasionally filling in at central midfield.

Philogene narrowly missed out on a recent call-up to the England Under-21s side, but has prior international experience with the Three Lions.

He was called up to the Under-19s squad in 2020 and progressed to the Under-20s in 2021 where he went on to make four senior appearances.
