Fulham will give heavy backing to manager Marco Silva if he pledges his long-term future to the club, sources have told Football Insider.

It is believed that Fulham will hand the former Everton and Watford man a significant summer budget if he chooses to remain at Craven Cottage.

Keeping the club's existing stars will also be key to Silva's future.

Aleksandar Mitrovic, Joao Palhinha, Willian and Andreas Pereira are all considered key parts of a Fulham side who are challenging for a European place this term.

Football Insider revealed on 28 February that the Cottagers are ready to offer an extended contract to experienced winger Willian - with his current deal set to expire in June.

Mitrovic has notched 11 goals and two assists in 21 league outings this season - while playmaker Pereira has managed two goals and six assists.

Silva's contract is currently set to expire in June 2024.

Speaking about his future (per Football Daily, 10 March), he refused to comment on the speculation linking him with Tottenham – insisting he is “very happy” in his current role.

Tottenham

It is believed that the Portuguese is not at the top of Spurs’ shortlist of potential replacements for Antonio Conte – but that could change if their top targets are unwilling to take the role.

Fulham are level on points with seventh-place Brighton in the race for a Europa Conference League place.
