Sources: Fulham plot new move for Everton and Leeds target Viktor Gyokeres after offer rejected
Fulham are planning to reignite their interest in Coventry City striker Viktor Gyokeres this summer, sources have told Football Insider.
The Cottagers attempted to sign the 24-year-old striker in January but saw their initial bid rejected by the Championship outfit.
But Fulham are plotting to make another approach for the Sweden international in the summer, with manager Marco Silva keen to provide cover and competition for first-choice striker Aleksandar Mitrovic.
Gyokeres’ contract is set to expire in 2024 and therefore Coventry have slashed their asking price down to £10-12million amid fears he may eventually leave on a free transfer.
Football Insider sources revealed last Sunday (26 February) that Leeds United, Everton and Bournemouth are all also interested in signing Gyokeres this summer.
Gyokeres has emerged as one of the brightest talents in the Championship this season, scoring 16 in 35 appearances across all competitions.

His 15 league goals in 2022/23 place him second in the Championship scoring charts, behind only Middlesbrough’s Chuba Akpom on 19.
Gyokeres started his career in Sweden with IF Brommapojkarna, and first moved to England after he wowed Brighton scouts in 2018.
However, Gyokeres made just eight senior appearances for the Seagulls and spent most of his three years on the south coast out on loan.
He joined Coventry on a temporary basis in January 2021 and after scoring three goals in 19 appearances, manager Mark Robins decided to hand Gyokeres a permanent three-year deal.
