Sources: Middlesbrough agree to sign Bolasie after Warnock U-turn
Yannick Bolasie has agreed to join Middlesbrough on loan from Everton after a U-turn from Neil Warnock, Football Insider understands.
The 31-year-old has almost certainly played his final game for the Toffees with his contract due to expire in the summer.
Boro manager Neil Warnock had pulled the plug on the club's lengthy pursuit of Bolasie last week after losing patience during extensive talks.
But a recruitment source has told Football Insider that negotiations have recommenced in recent days and an agreement is now in place.
The winger is set to spend the remainder of the 2020/21 campaign at the Riverside and upon it's completion he will become a free agent.
Bolasie has been frozen out at Goodison Park and was never seen as part of Carlo Ancelotti's plans.
The £25million signing from Crystal Palace in 2016 has failed to justify his price tag since arriving to the club - his 32 appearances across all competitions have yielded just two goals and four assists.
Loan spells at Aston Villa, Anderlecht and Sporting Lisbon did not fair much better for the DR Congo international, and subsequently none of the aforementioned clubs tried to sign him permanently.
However, Boro boss Neil Warnock is keen to work once again with the attacker he managed while at Palace.
He believes the skilful winger will be a valuable addition to his side as they push for promotion this season.
Middlesbrough currently sit seventh in the Championship, three points off the Play-Offs.
