Sources: Sullivan stance revealed on West Ham manager change ahead of Spurs clash
David Sullivan has thrown his full support behind Manuel Pellegrini ahead of a series of marquee fixtures that are set to decide his West Ham future, Football Insider can reveal.
The Premier League club have not changed their position of backing under-fire Pellegrini and he will be in charge for the home clash against Tottenham on Saturday as well as the subsequent trip to Chelsea.
A West Ham source has told Football Insider that co-chairman Sullivan has made no moves to line up a successor to the Chilean during the international break.
This is partly because the board back Pellegrini to arrest the team's decline and partly because they do not want news of any moves to leak to the media.
As revealed by Football Insider, Sullivan is being besieged with calls from agents claiming their clients can turnaround the club's wretched run of form.
The 70-year-old, who remains in day-to-day control of West Ham, has no intention of acting upon them at this stage.
But the picture will alter dramatically if the Londoners lose to Tottenham and Chelsea, with the 4 December showdown against Wolves likely to be pivotal to Pellegrini's future.
The 66-year-old signed a three-year contract worth £10million-a-year when he was appointed in the summer of 2018.
It remains to be seen if he will see out that immensely lucrative deal following the team's run of four defeats and a draw in the last five matches.
The Hammers are 16th in the Premier League table and will come up against a Tottenham side managed for the first time by Jose Mourinho after Mauricio Pochettino's Tuesday dismissal.
