Wolves and Bournemouth are in talks to sign Southampton striker Che Adams before the deadline, sources have told Football Insider.

Wolves are in the market for a new striker to bolster their squad, while Bournemouth are preparing a bid for long-term target Adams if they can move on Kieffer Moore.

The battle for Adams' signatures could go down to the wire, with interest remaining from Everton and Crystal Palace.

Everton had also been keen on a deal for Adams but instead turned their attention to getting a deal for Udinese striker Beto over the line in an effort to solve their goalscoring woes.

Adams is now set to be the subject of heightened interest as the transfer deadlines approaches.

The 27-year-old has entered the final year of his contract at St Mary's after joining from Birmingham City back in 2019.

Since then, Adams has made 149 appearances for the Saints across all competitions, netting 34 goals and offering up 15 assists.

This season the striker has already netted three goals in three Championship appearances for the newly relegated side helping them to fourth in the league table.

But the striker was left out of last weekend's game against QPR (26 August), with boss Russell Martin claiming the forward wasn't in the right place to take the field given the speculation surrounding his future.
