Vincent Janssen scored his second Tottenham goal in their 2-1 defeat to Liverpool on Tuesday night - but fans on Twitter were not convinced by his performance.

The Spurs striker pulled a goal back for the visitors from the penalty spot in the second half of the League Cup clash at Anfield.

It was only Janssen's second goal for the London giants since his summer move from AZ Alkmaar, but both of his strikes have come from penalties in the League Cup.

His performance paled in comparison with Liverpool duo Divock Origi and Daniel Sturridge, who scored a double as they combined brilliantly to run the inexperienced Spurs backline ragged.

Spurs fans took to social media to give their verdicts on Janssen, with some claiming he will eventually come good while others are dissatisfied by his productivity.
