Tottenham could look to sign Serhou Guirassy this summer following his strong campaign with VfB Stuttgart.

Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke admitted Guirassy would provide value for money due to the £17.5million release clause in his contract.

The Guinea international has been on the radar of multiple top clubs in recent months after scoring 30 goals in 30 games over the past season for Stuttgart.

O’Rourke revealed the Bundesliga side are doing “everything they can” to keep hold of the 28-year-old, whose contract is set to run until 2026.

Tottenham could move to sign Serhou Guirassy after Stuttgart exploits

There is expected to be plenty of interest in Guirassy once the transfer window reopens following his exploits in the Bundesliga.

The Guinean finished second in the goalscoring charts with 28 league strikes behind Harry Kane, helping Stuttgart to a second-place finish behind Bayer Leverkusen.

O’Rourke revealed Guirassy could be tempted to remain with the German club after they secured Champions League football.

That’s something Tottenham are unable to offer the forward after their fifth-place finish was only good enough for a Europa League spot next season.

Despite Ange Postecoglou employing an attacking style of play, Spurs finished the campaign as the lowest scorers in the top seven sides in the Premier League.
