Tottenham are set to tell Fernando Llorente to find a new club despite his instrumental role in the club's stunning Champions League progress, Football Insider understands.
The Spanish striker, 34, is out of contract at the end of next month and is available on a free transfer when his deal expires.
A Spurs source has told Football Insider the club have no plans to offer Llorente an extension and are instead scouring the market for a centre-forward back-up to main main Harry Kane.
The 24-times Spain international is wanted by clubs in Italy and Spain as he looks to continue a career that has included successful spells at Athletic Bilbao, Juventus and Swansea City.
Llorente has made a big impact in recent months during Kane's ankle injury absence, particularly in the extraordinary quarter-final and semi-final second legs.
The striker scored the decisive goal via his hip in the remarkable win over Manchester City and then helped turned the Ajax semi in Spurs' favour when he was brought on at half-time with his side trailing 3-0 on aggregate.
Llorente has scored eight goals and supplied five assists from 34 appearances this season, the majority of which have been as a substitute.
The north Londoners will also listen to offers for Vincent Janssen this summer after failing to offload him in January and last summer.
