Tottenham told to sign 'world class' Skriniar after 'brilliant' reveal - Robinson
Tottenham should re-ignite their pursuit of Slovakia defender Milan Skriniar after his performance against Poland, according to Paul Robinson.
The former White Hart Lane number one, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, said the 26-year-old was "nothing short of brilliant" in his country's Euro opener.
Football Insider revealed on 5 April that Jose Mourinho was going to spearhead a Spurs move for the Inter Milan centre-half this summer.
It came after the club laid the groundwork to sign Skriniar in the January window only for a deal to collapse at the eleventh hour.
Now, with Fabio Paratici most likely to be conducting Tottenham's transfer business, it is unclear whether the club will make another move for the Slovakian defender.
When asked by Football Insider's Dylan Childs if Spurs should re-ignite their efforts to sign Skriniar, Robinson said: "He was nothing short of brilliant against Poland.
"You can see that he is a leader. He marshalled that back line and was an example to others. He stood out head and shoulders above the rest.
"It was not just in a defensive sense either. He was a threat going forward as well. His touch and finish for the goal was incredible. It was like an accomplished striker's.
"He is exactly what Spurs need - a world-class centre-half. I would welcome him with open arms to Spurs. What a player."
