Man United fans are insisting Tyrell Malacia should never play for the club again after his performance in the Premier League clash v Bournemouth.

Ruben Amorim's side were destroyed 3-0 by the Cherries at Old Trafford after goals from Dean Huijsen, Justin Kluivert and Antoine Semenyo.

However, the focus of the home crowd rested largely on Malacia's first-half display after a lacklustre performance in which he struggled both going forward and defensively.

As a result, the 25-year-old was taken off in favour of Leny Yoro at half-time after recording a zero per cent crossing accuracy, winning just one of his five duels, losing possession seven times and giving away two fouls. [Sofascore]

Luke Shaw's constant injury issues have forced United to use makeshift options such as Diogo Dalot in his position, but his own struggles forced the boss to name Malacia in the starting XI.

Many supporters have now called for left-back to be sold when the transfer window opens to make way for a new signing in his position.

Malacia has struggled with injury issues since his move to Old Trafford in 2022, having missed a total of 70 games between July 2023 and November 2024 with a knee injury.

While there is a feeling that he will take time to get back to full fitness in the United team, many believe he should not be afforded that luxury.

Taking to social media following his half-time substitution, supporters expressed their frustration at his display, labelling him "embarrassing" and "disgraceful".
