McAvennie names the only three players Celtic should keep after 'disaster'
Frank McAvennie claims he would only keep three members of the current Celtic squad at the club after a disastrous few weeks.
The Hoops icon, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insists the club needs a complete overhaul before the transfer window closes.
Celtic crashed out of the Champions League after losing 2-1 to FC Midtjylland on Wednesday night.
This leaves the Hoops fighting in the third Europa League qualification round where they face Czech side FK Jablonec.
The Hoops also lost 6-2 to West Ham in a pre-season friendly sandwiched between both games against Midtjylland.
These poor performances have led McAvennie to claim he only wants to see Callum McGregor, Ismaila Soro and David Turnbull remain at the club.

“I honestly think they need a complete overhaul, everything,” McAvennie told Football Insider‘s Ben Wild.
“McGregor, Turnbull, Soro, they are the only three I would want to keep. Get rid of the rest now.
“Everyone else can go. This manager has a massive job and I think he’s realised that now.
“It’s not bringing in one or two players, he has to bring in a huge amount of players. Pre-season has been a disaster.
“I’ve seen nothing different to last season really. There are problems off the pitch but Ange can’t do anything about that.
“We need players quickly, the problem is who’s going to take the other lads off our hands if we don’t want them?”
McGregor has been named as the new Celtic captain and scored a screamer in the second-leg loss to Midtjylland.
Turnbull and Soro also started Wednesday’s clash as the Hoops failed to make the Champions League group stage for the fourth year in a row.
