McAvennie tells Leeds fans to 'grow up' over Alioski 'sour grapes'
Frank McAvennie has no problem with Ezgjan Alioksi swapping Leeds for Saudi Arabia in a “life-changing” move.
The former West Ham hitman, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, reacted to the wide man’s departure.
Al-Ahli confirmed Alioski had completed a transfer to the Saudi Arabian Super League on 29 July.
Football Insider then revealed in June they had returned with a second improved offer.
McAvennie has no problem with Alioski moving for money and told aggrieved Leeds fans to grow up.

“You can’t blame him for going at all,” McAvennie told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“He’s spent his best years at Leeds and he’s given them a lot.
“Though I imagine he wasn’t on peanuts at Leeds, that a life-changing amount of money.
“He’s set for life, his family is set for life, I have no problem with that.
“Alioski isn’t going to get a huge move like Jack Grealish or Harry Kane so he has to make his money now.
“It’s just sour grapes from the fans I’m sure. They have to look at it objectively and grow up a bit.”
Alioski joined Leeds from Swiss side Lugano in 2017.
He has gone on to make 170 appearances for the Whites and played a significant role as the club returned to the top flight in 2020.
