McLeish shares 'incredible' Celtic claim

Celtic will continue to dominate in the Scottish Premiership after their “on fire” start to the season.

That’s according to former Rangers and Scotland boss Alex McLeish, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the Hoops’ start to the season.

In the Premiership, Celtic have won six from six, scoring 25 goals and only conceding one.

In their last league outing (3 September), Ange Postecoglou’s side dominated Rangers and sealed a 4-0 win at Parkhead.

They now sit five points clear at the top of the Premiership.

McLeish has been blown away by just how good the Hoops have been this term.

“Celtic have been absolutely on fire,” McLeish told Football Insider’s Ben Wild.

“Last weekend, even when Rangers were having a go at them, trying to get back into the game, they were a solid unit.

“The back four have been at their A-game all season. No one has really had a sniff at them all season.

“It has been an incredible start, you have to hold your hands up and admit that. All of their players are in form.

“They have been great to watch as well. They score a lot of goals and it’s hard to see them losing that momentum in the league any time soon.”

Celtic suffered their first defeat of the campaign against Real Madrid on Tuesday (6 September).

Goals from Vinicius Junior, Luca Modric and Eden Hazard sealed a 3-0 win for the current European champions.
