Bobby Adekanye has undergone a Lazio medical and signed a contract with the club as he completes his exit from Liverpool, Football Insider understands.
The Dutch youth international, 20, revealed on his personal Instagram account this week that he is severing his ties with the Merseysiders four years after joining from Barcelona.
A Lazio source has told Football Insider that Adekanye was shown around the training headquarters of the club this week by club VIPs and also attended their Italian Cup triumph over Atalanta in Rome on Wednesday night.

Four years ago, when I arrived to Liverpool, I was still a child. Now I leave as a man, and I take with me a new family which I'll feel mine forever. It's not easy to find the right words for thanking everything Liverpool FC has given to me these years. To every coach I had in Academy and Melwood, to every teammate I shared good moments with, to every employee who where always by my side. Thanks a lot. I don't know neither how nor when, but I'm sure that our ways will meet again someday. Stand by with me on June 1st. I'll be one more helping the team to win the Champions League final. #YNWA
The Serie A big hitter will pay Adekanye around three times more than he is earning as a Liverpool youth team player with a long-term contract with £17,000-a-week before tax.
The deal is set to be confirmed imminently after he put pen to paper on an agreement that will see him join for a compensation fee of around £300,000.
Adekanye, who is predominantly a right-sided attacker, was a regular for the Under-23s before he was frozen out of the set-up at the end of last year after making it clear he wanted to join a club where he had a chance of progressing into the first team.
The ex-Ajax and Barcelona youth snubbed the Merseysiders’ offer of a new three-year contract as he set his sights on Lazio but they accepted some time ago he would not extend his stay in Liverpool.
An announcement over his transfer to Lazio is likely to be made soon.
In other Liverpool news, it can be REVEALED that the club are about to pocket a jawdropping £242million.
