Three Celtic players feature in the SPFL’s Premiership team of the season, but there is one notable, obvious admission – Tom Rogic.
The team was announced a short time ago on the official SPFL Twitter page, and the Bhoys featured are Kieran Tierney, Scott Brown and James Forrest.

There is no problem with any of those players being featured, as they have been three stand-out performers for the Hoops this season, but it does seem odd that the mercurial genius of Rogic has been overlooked for the side.
Perhaps it was his lack of goals that was the issue, as in the league he only managed to score five goals, but when you look at his play overall it is far better than the likes of Dylan McGeough and John McGinn, who were selected for the side.
Rogic is such a key player for the Hoops that people were ecstatic when he recently agreed a new long-term deal with the club, as he would have been incredibly difficult to replace.
He will at least have the chance to make the team of the season next year, but it is a disappointment that such a flair player has been overlooked, when he is perhaps the most technically gifted player in Scotland, and has shown it on may occasions.
