Michael Owen has backed Tottenham to beat Leicester City during their Thursday night Premier League clash at the King Power Stadium.
Former Liverpool man Owen has backed both teams to score during the contest as he expects an “open and entertaining” match.
Spurs recorded a 2-1 win during their last league fixture when they beat Manchester United in their final match at White Hart Lane.
By contrast, the Foxes suffered a controversial 2-1 defeat against Champions League chasing Manchester City on Saturday.
The home team have been in fine form in front of their own supporters in recent weeks, but Owen thinks Mauricio Pochettino’s side will end that run.
“Despite the fact that Leicester have won all five home league games under Craig Shakespeare I expect to see Spurs take all three points in what promises to be an open and entertaining game,” Owen told Bet Victor.
“The Foxes were, arguably, unlucky not to get something from the Etihad at the weekend but Spurs have much to play for and, after his goal against United on Sunday, there is still a chance of Harry Kane landing the coveted Golden Boot.”
Striker Harry Kane is now two goals behind Everton frontman, Romelu Lukaku, who currently tops the scoring charts in the Premier League.
Kane scored the winning goal against United at the weekend and has scored three goals since his return from injury at the start of April.
By contrast, Lukaku has not found the back of the net during his previous four league matches as his Everton team have one more game to play in the season.
The Merseyside club will travel to Arsenal on the last day of the season, with their opponents hoping to secure a top four spot.
On the other hand, Kane and his teammates will travel to already-relegated Hull, a team Spurs beat comprehensively during their reverse fixture in December.
