Michail Antonio tipped for new West Ham role after latest - pundit
David Moyes needs to find a way to fit Michail Antonio and Gianluca Scamacca into the same West Ham starting XI, according to Kevin Campbell.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Everton and Arsenal striker insisted the pair lining up together would prove to be a “right handful” for defences.
Scamacca and Antonio have not shared the pitch together since the 23-year-old’s £35million move from Sassuolo in the summer.
In the 1-0 loss to Everton on Sunday (18 September) Scamacca replaced the Jamaica international for the final 20 minutes as West Ham chased an equaliser.
As quoted by football.london after the game, David Moyes claimed that he would have to switch to a back three if he wanted both players to feature together as it is “very hard” to play a 4-4-2.
“You want both of them on the pitch,” Campbell told Football Insider assistant editor Dylan Childs.

“Listen, Scamacca is a big lad, he’s someone you have to account for. Michail Antonio is someone you definitely have to account for.
“There’s no point preserving him, he’s going on international duty. You need to get West Ham back into the game so you keep your weapons on the pitch.
“That’s what David Moyes gets paid the big money for, he’s got to make these decisions.
“I’m not surprised there was some frustration from the West Ham faithful when Antonio comes off and Scamacca comes on because you want to see them both on the pitch.
“Them two, jeez. They would be a right handful.”
