Midfield wizard on Tottenham radar willing to make London move - reports
By Danny Wright
Everton’s Ross Barkley is willing to make a move to London in the summer after interest from Tottenham, according to a report.
The London Evening Standard reports that Barkley will be more than happy to make a move to the capital city, despite suggestions that he wanted to stay up north.
The Daily Mail have recently claimed that Spurs are at the front of the queue to secure the signature of Barkley, whose Everton contract runs out at the end of next season.
Manchester City are also keeping track of the midfield wizard after assumptions were made that he wasn’t willing to move too far away from Merseyside.
Tottenham’s London rivals Arsenal and Chelsea are also interested in signing the Goodison Park academy product.

Mauricio Pochettino has revolutionised Tottenham since taking charge of the club and has been highly commended for his work on taking English players to the next level.
The ex-Saints boss has a number of high-class midfielders in his squad but his pursuit of Barkley is fuelled by his thirst for an explosive midfielder who can run at defenders and beat them with skill.
Barkley has been in good form for Everton this season and has shown a great deal of progression in his game under the management of Ronald Koeman.
After taking part in Everton’s 4-0 thrashing of Hull on Saturday, Barkley has made 30 appearances in all competitions and has provided his side with five goals and seven assists.
He is currently away with the England squad as they prepare to take on Germany and Lithuania during the international break.
Football Insider Verdict
This is a major development for Tottenham and it could be one that could lift the club to yet a new level. Barkley is an unbelievable talent and he appears to have ironed out the inconsistencies in his performances this season. Roberto Martinez wasn’t a good man manager to the 23-year-old but Koeman has come in and helped him take his game up several gears. Everton are flying at the moment and although Romelu Lukaku earns most of the plaudits, Barkley is a crucial member of the engine room that drives Koeman’s side forward. This would be a major signing for Spurs.
