Mile Jedinak has revealed Aston Villa teammate Jonathan Kodjia is “100 per cent committed” to the club.
The 27-year-old has been a star for the Midlands giants this season after joining from Bristol City in the summer for a fee of £15million.
The Ivory Coast international has returned a stunning 18 goals in 36 Championship appearances for Villa this season and Goal have recently reported that his exploits in front have goal have alerted a number of Premier League clubs.
However, Jedinak has reassured fans and believes Kodjia still only has Villa on his mind, stating that he is still fully committed to the team.
“He’s doing everything he can to get those goals,” started Jedinak in an interview shown on the official Aston Villa Twitter page.
“He’s working very, very hard for the team, which we need and he’s taking his opportunities. Would he, could he have a few more? Probably.
“He’d be the first to admit that, but he isn’t resting he’s 100 per cent committed to what we’re trying to do and we’re all behind him, trying to supply him the chances.”
Kodjia’s goals this season have helped Aston Villa find some fine form at the late stage of the season with seven victories from their last eight matches.
The club are currently sat in 11th place and nine points away from the play-offs with just six games to go.
However, fans will be hopeful the club can still finish within the top six and they will be hoping to pick up another three points against a struggling Burton at the weekend.
