Former Crystal Palace chairman Simon Jordan has hailed current Aston Villa chief Tony Xia for his openness towards fans and use of social media.
The senior figure took over the Midlands giants in the summer from American owner Randy Lerner following the club’s relegation to the Championship.
He has since looked to help the club turnaround it’s fortunes both on and off the pitch and has made a number of high profile decisions, including the hiring and sacking of Roberto Di Matteo as well as signing players such as Jonathan Kodjia and Scott Hogan.
The Chinese businessman has also been vocal about the on-goings of the club on his personal Twitter account and while some have been critical of his approach to social media, Jordan shared on Tuesday afternoon that he believes it is what Villa fans deserve.

Many Aston Villa fans were hoping in the summer that the club could make an instant return to the Premier League with the help of Xia.
However, poor form under Di Matteo at the start of the season means they now sit nine points behind Sheffield Wednesday in sixth.
But, if the club continues with their recent fine form then they could achieve a play-off spot once the season ends and they will be looking to pick up all three points against Burton on Saturday.
In other Aston Villa news, Leeds fans have reacted on Twitter to the club’s midweek victory.
