Mills: Edouard may 'throw his toys out of the pram' after Celtic reveal

Danny Mills has warned Odsonne Edouard may “throw his toys out of the pram” before Celtic face FC Midtjylland in their crunch Champions League qualifier.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Leeds United and England defender admitted Ange Postecoglou has a big decision to make ahead of Tuesday’s game.

Football Insider revealed on 19 June the Frenchman has told friends he expects to quit the club this summer.

Postecoglou told Glasgow Live on 19 July that he would only pick players “mentally and physically read” for the tie as he ruled out Kristoffer Ajer and Olivier Ntcham.

“I think you have a look at how he’s been in pre-season training,” Mills told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.

“In that short space of time Postecoglou will have to have got to know him and then he has to make a decision.

“Is this player going to play well because he wants a move? Or, is he going to be one that throws their toys out of the pram and won’t perform?

“Unless you know the character and the type of person he is it’s very difficult to say.

“Some players might turn around and go ‘You know what, I want a move and to get that move I’m going to play well so people can see how good I am and that’s going to boost my chances.

“Other players will say ‘Look, I’m going to cause problems and not going to play. You’re going to have to sort out a move.’ That’s the way I look at it.”
