Danny Mills believes both West Brom and Sheffield United will be happy with a potential swap deal involving Oliver Burke and Callum Robinson.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider correspondent Dylan Childs, the former Leeds full back also claimed there will be more swap deals before the end the transfer window closes on 6 October.
Both Burke and Robinson are away on international duty with Scotland and the Republic of Ireland respectively, so a deal is expected to be completed when they return, according to the Mail.
Robinson, 24, spent the second half of last season on loan at the Hawthorns where he scored three goals and provided two assists in 16 games as the Baggies were promoted to the Premier League.
Burke has started just three league games for West Brom since joining in August 2017 for a reported £15m fee from Bundesliga side RB Leipzig.
The 23-year-old spent last season on loan at La Liga side Alaves where he played 30 times, scoring just once.
Asked by Football Insider who were getting the better of the swap deal, Mills said: “It all comes down to opinions.
“It comes down to what a manager wants and what he sees in that player and does that player fit a little bit better into the way he plays and fit in a little better perhaps into that system of play.
“That might just be the is case with this.
“There will be more swap deals in this transfer window, because of covid and the financial implications of that and the restrictions around it.
“We might see more swap deals before the 6 October than would normally happen.”
