Mills: Reguilon and Doherty tipped to explode at Tottenham after Paratici reveal
Danny Mills has tipped Nuno Espirito Santo to implement a three at the back system at Tottenham.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-England and Man City defender suggested Matt Doherty and Sergio Reguilon could thrive as wing-backs in Nuno’s system.
At Wolves, the Portuegese lined up his side in a 3-5-2 system but dabbled with a 4-2-3-1 formation last term.
He was appointed as Spurs boss last week after leaving the Midlands club after four years in charge.
New managing director of football Fabio Paratici revealed at his unveiling, as quoted by football.london, that the club were attracted by his adaptability.
Football Insider revealed on 24 June that it was Paratici who was pushing hard for Daniel Levy to appoint Nuno.

It was a big U-turn for Spurs after it was widely reported they had ruled him out when it was announced he was set to leave Wolves.
Asked how he sees Spurs lining up under the 47-year-old, Mills told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “I think they will go with a back three, that’s what he prefers.
“He’s got one wing-back in Matt Doherty and at left wing-back there’s Reguilon. I think he’s a really good player and good going forward.
“That lends itself to that and it’s what he knows and what he’s played before. I think there’s a really good chance that they will go with three at the back and those two will thrive.”
Both Reguilon and Doherty signed for Tottenham last season from Real Madrid and Wolves, respectively.
While Reguilons showed flashes of brilliance, Doherty struggled in north London and made just 13 Premier League starts.
