Mills swipes at Tottenham players after Kane bombshell
Danny Mills has questioned Harry Kane’s teammates as new bombshell reveals the extent of the Tottenham star’s drought.
The former Manchester City defender, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, said there was “no cause for concern” over the striker’s barren run in the league.
Kane’s Spurs struggles were exhibited in sharp focus last Saturday against Crystal Palace – when the striker failed to touch the ball inside the opposition box for the first time in his Premier League career (as per Opta).
The England ace is yet to score for Tottenham in the Premier League this season and also failed to impose himself in a 2-2 Europa Conference League draw with Rennes on Thursday.
As per FBref, Tottenham have completed just 14.25 shot-creating actions per 90 minutes this season. This is the second-worst total in the league, narrowly bettering Leicester’s 10.5.
Mills suggested this could mean the blame lies with Kane’s teammates rather than the talisman himself.

“We’ve seen him score goals for England this season,” he told Football Insider‘s Connor Whitley.
“Sometimes players can just have off days, sometimes the opposition can set up differently and it doesn’t go for you.
“Michael Jordan had off days, Tiger Woods had off days, it happens.
“You have to also look elsewhere in the team – are they creating enough chances?
“If it gets to five or six games without scoring then it becomes a problem but until then, there’s no cause for concern.”
Notwithstanding these concerns, Spurs have enjoyed a successful start to their top-flight campaign, winning three from four.
However, the Lilywhites have scored just three goals – which is the third-worst record in the division.
