Mills: This is the 'massive' Leeds 'problem' after what I've seen
Danny Mills has insisted Leeds United have nothing to worry about despite their 5-1 defeat to Manchester United at the weekend.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Whites and England defender suggested the rivalry between the two clubs means Saturday’s result has been overblown.
Leeds had levelled the scores just after half-time but four goals in just over 15 minutes saw Man United run out convincing winners.
Last season, the Yorkshire club lost 6-2 to their bitter rivals at Old Trafford.
“You have to accept that Manchester United are player for player a much better side,” Mills told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“That’s why they finished much higher in the league last season. They’ve got some incredible individuals.

“Leeds were missing the likes of Kalvin Phillips, who didn’t play in the game and has been pivotal over the last two or three seasons. Leeds are not at full strength when he doesn’t play.
“Also, the style that Leeds play means it is always likely to happen. When you look at the first game of last season against Liverpool it could have been a similar result in all honesty.
“If you look at Man City at home last season when it was 1-1, that could have gone the same way and Leeds could have been three or four down after 20 minutes with the way Man City were playing.
“The reaction is extra extreme because of the rivalry, because it’s Manchester United, because it’s at Old Trafford and because it happened last season. That’s the real problem in all of this. That’s massive, and the biggest issue.
“People will say ‘They haven’t learnt from last season’. Maybe that’s the case but that’s not the way Leeds play and that’s not what Bielsa is going to do.”
