Mills: This is when Rangers may sell Morelos after newspaper reveal
Danny Mills has tipped Alfredo Morelos to leave Rangers next summer if he does not sign a new contract.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Leeds United and England defender admitted he found it strange that Morelos has not left Ibrox yet given the level of interest in him each window.
The Scottish Sun reported yesterday (24 June) FC Porto will step up their interest in the striker next week when their Uefa financial fair play sanctions end.
It is claimed Rangers want between £15-20million for their star striker.
“He’ll go eventually,” Mills told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.
“It’s hard to say when he’ll go because he’s been on the market forever it seems. Maybe he’ll have to wait until he’s out of contract.

“It’s difficult to understand why he hasn’t gone yet when there’s definitely been interest.
“With two years left on his contract though, it’s a long time to wait when you’ve constantly been linked with a move away.
“If it’s not this summer, he’ll get to the point where there’s a year left and Rangers think ‘We’ve got to cash in at this point.’
“If you’re that good and can be that important somebody would have bought him by now. That’s the way I look at it because he has clearly been available.”
Morelos, who turned 25 this week, enjoyed a fine campaign for Steven Gerrard’s side as he netted 17 goals and provided 13 assists in 44 games across all competitions.
The Colombian international is currently away with his national team at the Copa America.
