Mills: Tottenham tipped to swap Kane for two centre-backs plus cash as Man City ready offer
Tottenham would be more likely to swap Harry Kane for two centre-backs plus cash rather than for attacking players like Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus.
That is the view of ex-England and Premier League defender Danny Mills, speaking exclusively to Football Insider after Manchester City reportedly prepare a player-plus-cash offer.
The Sun reported last week (May 31) the Premier League champions are prepared to offer Sterling and Jesus to land Kane.
Football Insider exclusively revealed on April 9 Kane had told friends he wants to quit Spurs this summer.
The latest update from a City source is that the club are preparing an offer of players plus cash.
Asked whether Tottenham would be tempted by a potential deal that includes Jesus and Sterling, Mills told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “Possibly.

“But you’ve got to wait until the manager comes in or the sporting director is formalised.
“Then you’ve got to work out the style of play. And you think where does Gareth Bale fit in if he comes back if Sterling and Jesus come in?
“Where does Son Heung-min fit in? Where does Lucas Moura fit in? Where does Steven Bergwijn fit in?
“Hang on, they’ll have four right-wingers when actually they need two new centre-halves.
“They’re very good players and any squad would benefit from them. But that deal is very lopsided in Man City’s favour.
“They’re happy for Raheem Sterling to go and they’re happy for Jesus to go. And they get Harry Kane coming the other way.
“Is that necessarily the best deal for Tottenham? Possibly not. They can just turn around and say ‘If you want Harry Kane, it’s £150million. Take it or leave it.’
“They’re good players but that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a good deal for Tottenham unless they fit into the system.”
