The father of Divock Origi, Mike Origi has told that his son needs to leave Liverpool and that Tottenham is a real possibility for the young striker.
Mike Origi’s claims follow reports from both the Telegraph and HLN journalist Kristof Terreur claiming that Spurs are one of the sides interested in taking the 22-year-old away from Anfield this summer.
Now, Mike Origi has seemingly confirmed the reports as true, as he told in a big transfer revelation that a move to north London is certainly possible for is son, but that he also has options in both France and Germany.
“Divock needs to leave Liverpool in order to get time out on the pitch,” told Mike Origi, as quoted by the Sun.
“A move to Tottenham is a possibility for him. But there is also interest in him from clubs in France and Germany.”
Origi made the switch to England with Liverpool in the summer of 2014 from Lille in a fee thought to be around £10million after an impressive World Cup with Belgium.
He was instantly loaned back to Lille before joining up with Liverpool permanently in the summer of 2015, where ha since returned 21 goals and seven assists in 77 outings in total.
However, he has made just the single Premier League appearance for the Reds this season, coming in the season opener against Watford before being left on the bench against Hoffenheim and Crystal Palace and then being omitted completely against Arsenal on Sunday.
In other Tottenham transfer news, this 24-year-old has completed a Monday medical after Spurs agreed move.
