Deal all but done: 24-year-old completes Monday medical after Tottenham agree transfer - reports
By Harvey Byrne
Centre-back Kevin Wimmer has completed a medical at Premier League rivals Stoke after Tottenham agreed to his transfer, according to reports.
The Telegraph claimed on Sunday that Spurs had agreed a fee of around £18million for the 24-year-old Austria international to make the move up to the Midlands and that he was posed to go up to the Bet365 Stadium for a medical.
Now, it would seem that Wimmer’s exit from Tottenham is all but done with Sky Sports Midlands correspondent Rob Dorsett claiming via his personal Twitter account on Monday afternoon that Wimmer has left the Stoke training ground after completing a medical with a deal close.

Wimmer has been a part of the Tottenham set-up for just two years after joining from Bundesliga outfit FC Koln for a small price of £4.3million in the summer of 2015.
He has since played in 31 matches in all competitions for Spurs with what looks to be his final appearance coming in a February victory over Stoke.

Football Insider verdict:
Wimmer is no loss for Tottenham and the fact that they have made what looks to be a profit of just under £14million on him shows that Daniel Levy is the master negotiator. The centre-back is far from the quality needed at Spurs in order to compete in both the Premier League and Champions League and he has since been replaced in the squad by club-record signing Davinson Sanchez. Therefore, this deal is just another great piece of business to add to the Tottenham records while under Levy and they have raised some nice funds for any further additions.
