'Moyes is overjoyed' - Exclusive: West Ham player with 2 PL starts has manager drooling - pundit
West Ham need more players with the same character as January signing Jarrod Bowen, according to Noel Whelan.
The former Leeds United striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge, has been left drooling over the impact of the 23-year-old at the London Stadium.
The former Hull City man has played started twice in his four Premier League appearances for the Irons, his first goal coming in the 3-1 win over Southampton.
Whelan has lauded the winger for the way he has settled in under David Moyes and believes the manager needs more players cut from the same cloth.
Whelan told Football Insider: “You’ve seen Jarrod Bowen, the way he’s settled into Premier League life, hit the ground running and that’s what you want.
“I’m sure David Moyes is overjoyed the way he’s started his Premier League campaign with West Ham. West Ham is one of these teams where on paper they look great but they’re just not hitting the mark they should be.

“It’s a strange one, they need to find the consistency, the right balance of player, the right character. When you see the likes of Bowen coming in, good, British player who knows what it’s all about, they do make a difference.”
West Ham currently sit 16th in the Premier League table, outside the relegation zone on goal difference alone.
They have won just one of their last eight league games, with five defeats over the same period.
In other West Ham news, Alex Bruce has been left stunned by a transfer report involving a Hammers ace.
