Multiple clubs are lining up to sign Jack Clarke in January after his Leeds United freeze-out in the first half of the season, Football Insider has learned.

Teams from the Championship as well as the Premier League are eager to take advantage of the 19-year-old's fringe status to take him on loan for the second half of the campaign.

A Leeds source has told Football Insider the club expect Tottenham to active the January recall clause in the season-long loan agreed between the clubs in the summer.

Clarke is in line to head to Spurs before going out on loan to a new club for the second half of the campaign.

Nottingham Forest have been credited with an interest in the winger but they are one of many in England's second tier keen on him, as well as a few teams in the Premier League.

This comes even though Clarke has had just 19 minutes of league action all season despite being fit and available.

Tottenham spent £9.5million rising to a potential £13m for the United academy product after his dazzling debut campaign in which he made 25 appearances and had Premier League clubs beating a path to his door.

Yet, he has had to make do with just three Leeds appearances this season, two of which have come in the League Cup.

Clarke has been an unused sub for 12 of the 19 Championship matches and did not even make the matchday squad for six of them.
