My pal Hart is 'wowed' by Celtic and finds move 'very appealing' - Phillips
Kevin Phillips claims former teammate Joe Hart would find a move to Celtic “very appealing”.
The Sunderland legend, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insists the stopper would not be fazed by the challenge at Parkhead.
It is said the shot-stopper has been deemed surplus to requirements following the arrival of Pierluigi Gollini on loan.
Hart has played for Burnley and Spurs since being ousted from Manchester City in 2018.
Phillips, who played with Hart at Birmingham City, insists the ex-England keeper may find a move to Celtic “too good to turn down”.

“It’s very appealing,” Phillips told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“With the clubs he’s played at, to then have the opportunity to play for one of the biggest clubs in Scotland, wow.
“The only thing that might hamper that move is no Champions League football, that’s massive.
“Does he want to move to Scotland as well? He’s probably settled in London.
“But a chance to play in front of the crowd there might be too good to turn down.
“He’s shown he’s up for the challenge when he went abroad. I know him, Joe’s a top player.
“I played with him at Birmingham and a move up there to play week in week out is very appealing for him.
“Celtic would be getting a very good goalkeeper, I always felt the criticism levelled at him was unfair.”
Before leaving City, Hart had loan spells at Serie A side Torino and West Ham.
He has so far made 10 appearances for Spurs but none of those have come in the Premier League.
