Neco Williams set for Liverpool exit after source's update on potential replacement - pundit
Neco Williams will permanently leave Liverpool this summer.
That is the view of former Arsenal and Everton striker Kevin Campbell, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about Liverpool’s interest in Aberdeen 18-year-old Calvin Ramsay.
A recruitment source told this site (28 April) that Aberdeen are ready to cash in on their right-back this summer to raise much-needed funds.
Jurgen Klopp’s side and Leeds United are interested in the teenager, who has two years remaining on his contract at Pittodrie.
According to Aberdeen Live (4 May), the Reds are preparing a bid for Ramsay.
Campbell claimed the interest signals the end of Neco Williams’ time at Anfield.

“Neco Williams has been playing at Fulham and doing well,” he told Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs.
“He wants to play now. He wants to start every week now he has a taste of it. Why would he want to come back to Liverpool and sit on the bench? Yes, he has tasted success at Liverpool but he has been more involved at Fulham.
“I think the writing is on the wall here, especially if Liverpool are looking at other right-backs. He will leave because his priority will be to play regularly.
“If Jurgen Klopp is shuffling his pack he might be able to recruit a replacement. The key will be who they recruit. Klopp has the knack of getting the right players.”
Neco Williams has spent the second half of this season on loan at Fulham.
He has made 15 appearances for the Cottagers and helped them to win the Championship title.
