'Need to sell', 'Infuriating' - Newcastle fans fume over one man in clash v Swansea

Newcastle United fans have turned to social media to fume over the performance of Dwight Gayle in their 1-1 draw at home with Swansea on Saturday.
The Magpies went in to half time at St James’ Park level with the side sitting at the bottom of the Premier League table, having seen a handful of chances fall by the wayside, the majority of which were spurned by the former Crystal Palace striker.
He put Paul Dummett’s excellent cross into the hands of Lukas Fabianski with a weak header, before putting another lofted ball wide of the goal despite having been afforded both time and space by the Swans.
He did see the ball in the back of the net before the half time whistle, but the goal was rightly ruled out for offside following Ayoze Perez’s flicked header.
As a result of his profligacy, the Toon Army took to Twitter to voice their frustrations with last season’s top scorer, slamming his efforts up front.
Here, Football Insider has rounded up a selection of the supporters’ best tweets:

Saturday’s appearance against the Swans was the 27-year-old’s 20th league outing of the campign, which has seen him net three goals, level Joselu, his main rival for a place in the starting XI.
