'Waste of space', 'Abysmal' - Newcastle fans rage over star man's display v Bournemouth

Newcastle United fans turned to social media to rage over the performance of star midfielder Jonjo Shelvey after his display in the club’s defeat to Bournemouth on Saturday.
An injury time winner from Steve Cook secured the three points for the Cherries at St James’ Park and condemned the Magpies to their second successive defeat after their loss at Burnley last Monday.
It was a bitter pill to swallow for the Toon Army, with many of their players failing to live up to expectations in front of the home fans, with many taking to Twitter to voice their frustrations over the disappointing display of midfield maestro Jonjo Shelvey.

The former Liverpool man has endured a mixed start to the season, having seen himself miss three of the opening four fixtures after being sent off on the opening day against Tottenham for a stamp on Dele Alli.

He struggled to break back into the starting XI following his three match suspension, but has now started the last five of the club’s matches, helping them to one win, two draws and two successive defeats after losing to Eddie Howe’s side.
He will be hoping to improve on his display on Saturday in two weeks time, when the Magpies travel to Old Trafford to take on Manchester United after the international break.
