'Don't want him' - Newcastle fans are fuming about Benitez reported January deal

Newcastle United fans took to social media to bemoan reports linking them with a move for Porto’s Iker Casillas in the January transfer window.

Supporters were less than thrilled with the news and questioned why they weren’t going for players in other positions.

One fan was very specific with his demands saying he wanted a striker and a left-back to be signed, and another fan used the rolling eye emoiji over the news to express his feelings.

The original report by AS claimed that Rafa Benitez was hoping to sign the goalkeeper because of his vast experience of playing at a high level.

However, the Magpies currently find themselves facing a relegation battle and sit only five points clear of the drop in 15th.

Newcastle United have failed to win any of their last six league games and have suffered heavy defeats courtesy of Watford and Manchester United.
