Newcastle fans will love Willock even more after Instagram update today - pundit
Frank McAvennie insists the Toon Army will adore Joe Willock even more than they already do with Arsenal to join Newcastle.
The former West Ham hitman, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, reacted to the latest on the midfielder’s future.
On Sunday (8th August), The Athletic reported Newcastle United have agreed a deal to sign Willock for around £20million.
On Tuesday (10th August), Willock added an image of himself to his Instagram story with the phrase “new limits”, sparking speculation that his arrival is imminent.
Willock, 21, joined the Magpies on loan for the second half of last season and found his best form.
Eight goals in 14 appearances followed as his performances helped to drag Newcastle away from the relegation zone.

McAvennie insists Willock will be loved at Newcastle and claimed his arrival is a much-needed boost.
“He’s going to enjoy being in Newcastle,” McAvennie told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“I lived up there for 15 years. It’s a great place to live and work.
“Willock clearly enjoyed it the first time around and he’s going to enjoy it again.
“They need this, Newcastle. They have had a horrible time recently with the takeover.
“A bit of good news on the eve of the season is just what they need. It’s brilliant news.
“The fans will love him for leaving Arsenal and they will love him even more if he keeps scoring.”
Newcastle start their season with a home clash against West Ham on Sunday.
If Willock joins in the next few days, he could make his first permanent appearance for his new club this weekend.
