Acquah is recognised as a powerhouse in the middle of the park and is renowned for his ball winning skills.
Football Insider verdict:
Newcastle do need to bring in some top-flight experience in the summer and Acquah looks like he could be a smart addition. Benitez should look to bolster his midfield options and could do with a controlling force to play alongside playmaker Jonjo Shelvey. The 25-year-old’s physicality is something that should work in his favour in the Premier League and he has proven himself capable in Serie A. He also has 28 international caps for Ghana and a move to the Premier League could be an attractive offer. The report details that Newcastle are prepared to offer more money and Torino would also be selling to their arch-rivals if they let Acquah go to Juventus.
