Newcastle are confident of completing two new signings this week, sources have told Football Insider.

The North East giants have completed personal terms with Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi, and a deal is expected to go through.

The England international is keen to move to St James’ Park in this window, and talks are ongoing between the two clubs over an initial £50million deal that will rise to £60million.

Newcastle have also agreed terms with Sheffield United striker William Osula, who has been undergoing a medical at the club.

The Premier League side’s initial £10million bid was accepted by the Yorkshire giants, with £5million of add-ons completing the deal.

Osula offers Eddie Howe versatility, as he can play down the middle and out wide.

Newcastle are also monitoring other options in the transfer market

Although the Magpies expect to complete both of those deals this week, the club are also monitoring other options.

Football Insider reported that the club have held talks over a deal with Chelsea for Noni Madueke.

Newcastle want to sign a right-winger before the transfer deadline, which could lead to the sale of Miguel Almiron.

Football Insider revealed that the 30-year-old is in advanced talks with an unnamed Saudi Pro League club over a summer move.

Another player expected to exit St James’ Park in this window is Callum Wilson, with Newcastle cutting their losses with the striker.

Wilson has struggled with injuries throughout his time at Tyneside, and the Magpies are expected to lower their original £15million asking price.
