'Tear up his contract' - Newcastle fans in disbelief at Tino Livramento update
Newcastle United are finally run out of patience with Tino Livramento following his latest absence from the matchday squad.
The talented full-back has struggled to remain a regular over the past two seasons, yet to make a Premier League start in 2026-27.
After coming on as a substitute against Leeds United on Monday, 14 September, though, he was expected to be part of the back-four this weekend.
Newcastle started Saturday, 19 September, sitting 12th in the Permier League table, with a clash against high-flyers Hull City up next.
Matthias Jaissle's side have shown some really positive signs in recent weeks, but Livramento has handed the team a blow they just didn't need.
With no other available right-backs available, Lewis Miley has been forced to deputise in the position again, weakening the centre of midfield in turn.
Tino Livramento injured yet again
Supporters are now absolutely furious that the Magpies can't rely on Livramento to stay fit for two games in a row, plagued by yet another injury.
Although Amar Dedic is also injured, those at St James' Park are ready for Livramento to be sold in the January window, if they can actually find a buyer.
Given that the right-back simply can't stay fit, that might be easier said than done. That's why one fan has gone even further, wanting the player's contract ripped up instead.
Matthias Jaissle faced with growing injury list
Newcastle's owners' lack of investment during the summer window has seriously become all the more obvious in the 2026-27 campaign.
Kryan Thompson, 17, Michael Mills, 17, and Vakhtang Salia, 19, are all on the bench against Hull, showing the clear lack of depth in the squad.
Dedic and Livramento join Ewen Jaouen, Dan Burn, Jacob Ramsey, Joelinton, Nico Gonzalez, Anthony Elanga and Will Osula in the treatment room.
There is a long way to go until the January transfer window opens. Luckily, the three-week international break will provide time for some of these names to recover.
